ASSOCIATION STRUCTURE

 

 

 

Association Board

The highest governing body of the Association is the Association Board, which consists of representatives appointed by the members of the Association. The Association Board manages the activities of the Association and is authorized to make all important decisions on behalf of the Association, including:

 

·         Getting a new member in the association

·         Suspension / restoration / termination of association membership;

·         Adoption of the Association's charter and programs; Approval; Revision; Change;

·         Election / dismissal of the Executive Secretary of the Association.

·         

   Chairman of the Association 

The Chairman of the Association is the National Bank of Georgia, which signs decisions made by the Association Board, participates in the management and ensures impartiality and neutrality of the Association's activities and decisions.

The Chairman of the Association has the power of veto over the decisions of the Association Board and the Executive Secretary, subject to the principle of impartiality and fairness, motivated by objective and rational judgment.

 

Executive Secretary

The day-to-day activities of the Association are led by the Executive Secretary, who is the person with the leadership and representative authority of the Association. The Executive Secretary represents the Association in its relations with third parties and is authorized to enter into transactions on behalf of the Association within the scope of its statutory powers. The Executive Secretary shall be appointed by the Association Board upon the nomination of the Chairman of the Association for a term of three years. To support the implementation of the functions of the Executive Secretary, an apparatus will be set up by the Executive Secretary.

 

Committees

By the decision of the Association Board, various thematic committees are set up within the Association, focusing on the performance of various specific functions of the Association. At present, the Charter of the Association provides for the following committees:

 

·         Foreign Exchange Market Committee;

·         Money Market Development Committee;

·         Bond Market Committee;

·         Financial Education Committee;

·         Ethics and Dispute Resolution Committee;
